SKETCHBOOK INSIGHTS: ANATOMY, NARRATIVE, AND THE CHARACTER UNIVERSE

This collection offers a raw and unfiltered cross-section of my artistic journey. Despite being only 17 and having no formal training in drawing—I’ve developed all my skills purely through observation and relentless practice—the sketchbook serves as both an academic laboratory and the inception point for my storytelling.

Collection Focus:

1. Character Development and Redesign:
   • Aurelius von Alger (‘Heir of the Wind’): This page is an in-depth character study of my original creation, Aurelius. It presents a profile rich in not only visual details (188cm height, axe usage) but also psychological notes (Borderline, trauma, flashbacks) and world-building elements (going to the Abyss, ability to heal Hazel). It demonstrates my integration of detailed anatomy and armor design, learned through observation, into a fantastical aesthetic.
2. Emotional Narrative and Dialogue:
   • Luna and Lawrance: A portion of my sketches captures the fragility and melancholy of an interpersonal relationship through dialogue. Poetic questions like “If I was the moon, would you still look for the stars?” highlight my desire to explore the powerful link between line and word.
3. Anatomical Study and Fundamental Application:
   • Form and Technique: The pages include technical studies on muscle structure, eye expressions, and figure poses (such as the torso and arm sketches). These prove the seriousness with which I approach the foundational knowledge of form and proportion that underlies my visual storytelling.
4. Aesthetics and Style Experiments:
   • Ancient and Modern Figures: I present a wide range of drawings, from figures draped in classic togas to characters with futuristic armor and modern aesthetics. By incorporating elements like graph paper, collage, and tape details, I inject an experimental and dynamic feel into the sketches.

These pencil drawings reflect my self-discipline in visualization, my constant appetite for learning, and my passion for telling complex stories through my characters. My goal is to continue this passion as an internationally recognized professional artist and to refine my talent at a top art institution.
